August 2018 was a terrifying period for Kerala as it witnessed the flood washing away human and animal life, properties, material and non- material things. Over 483 people died and 140 are missing. Over 3274 relief camps have been opened at various locations to accommodate the flood victims. Thousands of homes had been destroyed; there were cases reported o property lose. Dr. M S Sunil took it as a responsibility to provide necessary materials to people in need, immediately after the catastrophe struck. Dr. M S Sunil took responsibility to provided immediate services to the needy include food items, medical aids and dress materials to various flood relief camps at Pathanamthitta and Kollam districts. As for the further assistance, she also build 24 houses, provided kitchen utensils, furniture (including bed, mattress, chairs, tables, almirah, etc.), school kits (Books, bags, pen, pencils, instrument boxes, erasers, umbrellas, water bottles, tiffin boxes, etc.) awareness and stress relief classes (group counseling) to the victims.
