Key Handing Ceremony of 172th House

Under the Home for Homeless Project of Dr. M S Sunil Foundation, the 172nd house was handed over to Smt. Haseena and family, [Karakkadu], with the help of Novelist Mr. Benyamin, NRI Mrs. Sara Koshy and Mr. Gopalakrishnan Pillai and Mrs. Jayasree Gopalakrishnan, who donated three cent of land to build a shelter. Inauguration and key handing had done by the sponsor Mr. Benyamin, Sara’s friend Mrs. Marry Abraham and Mrs. Jayasree Gopalakrishnan themselves, in presence of Dr. M S Sunil, Mr. K. P Jayalal, Mrs. Mini Subhash, Mr. Gopalakrishnan Pillai and Mr. A. V. Abraham. Anu, a B.Sc Zoology student at Christian College, Chengannoor, was homeless along with her mother and school going brother. Her father died years ago and her mother Haseena was struggling to carry out their livelihood and children’s education. At first they are provided with three cent of land by Mr. Gopalakrishna Pillai and Jayashree, a school teacher. When teacher came to know their predicament, she builds a home with 650 sq. ft area consist of 2 bed rooms, a hall, a kitchen, a bathroom and a sitout with all basic necessities. Unlike other homes provided under this project, the foundation had to face several difficulties include, the labours had to carry water required from a distant place throughout the construction activities, due to lack of electric supply, we had to rent generator for all required works.
